In this class you will learn the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. No prior weaving experience is required. This class is designed to teach you basic skills so you can feel confident in creating your own projects. Although not project-based, the sample you create will be of a weight and size to use as a table runner.

Students may bring their own loom, purchase one from Twin Birch, or use one of the two available studio looms.

Students will learn to choose appropriate yarns and heddles and will warp their looms using a direct method. Other skills will include winding a stick shuttle, the mechanics of weaving, selvage management, and finishing,

$20 material fee is included in cost of class.
