Each of our beautiful handmade knitting needles, crochet hooks and needlework tools is individually handcrafted of renewable native birch at our rural North Carolina home. Because of its tight grain and extraordinary flexibility, birch has long been the preferred wood for knitting needles and crochet hooks. The Twin Birch Products are hand sanded for exceptional smoothness and finished with a natural oil. Their beauty and smoothness increase with use as they develop a lovely patina with exposure to light and other natural oils from wool and your hands.

Twin Birch Products is a local cottage industry producing each needle by our family and a few other local families in central North Carolina. We've been in business since 1984. We appreciate your support and the employment it provides.
